Funding for up to a $1,200 match per employee in 2024 and 2025 is available immediately for your professional development if you work in Maine!
The Maine Community College System (MCCS), through the Harold Alfond Center for the Advancement of Maine’s Workforce, is offering supplemental funding for training and professional development that advances frontline incumbent workers’ skills, leading to career advancement and job security. Center for Wildlife Studies has joined this initiative as a third-party training partner and will work with MCCS to determine grant-funding eligibility of training programs we offer.
By becoming a Compact member, you are are eligible to receive up to a $1,200 match per employee in 2024 and 2025. Joining the Compact is free and funding is available now! To access funding:
FOR EMPLOYERS:
1) Take a minute to complete the application to become a MCCS Workforce Development Compact Member, which is free. A confirmation email will then be sent to you with a link to review and sign a memorandum of agreement, which only takes a few minutes to complete.
2) Once approved as a Compact Member, you will be eligible to submit a funding request application (click the “Get Started” button at the bottom of the page you are redirected to) for each of our training courses.
FOR EMPLOYEES:
1) Please copy the link to this page and send it to your employer so they can sign up to be a Compact Member.
2) Contact us about your plan to attend the course and we’ll be sure to put you on our waiting list to secure you spot in the course prior to registration!
