Continuing Education
Do you need to recertify or upgrade your profesional certification with the ESA or TWS?
What to know to use CCWS courses to recertify or upgrade to the next level as an Ecologist with ESA?
Earn continuing education units (CEUs) to recertify or upgrade to the next level as an Ecologist with ESA (e.g., Ecologist in Training to Ecologist) by using CWS courses that have been pre-approved for continuing education.
Most CWS courses are worth 4 Continuing Education Units (CEUs) in either Category I(a): Scientific Education and Training or Category I(a): 1(b) Professional Development.
Participants must complete all exercises to pass the course and receive a CWS Certificate of Course Completion, which includes the number of CEUs earned and needs to be submitted to ESA.
What to know to recertify or upgrade as a Wildlife Biologist® with The Wildlife Society (TWS)?
All CWS courses can be used for continuing education with TWS.
Most CWS courses are worth 16 CEUs (16 contact hours) in Category I of the Certified Wildlife Biologist® Renewal program and Category I of the Professional Development Certificate program. Be sure to check the course ad and syllabus to confirm.
